LEARNING

Well, I am going to have to begin learning about how to do this stuff. I guess trial and error will help me find a way.

I came across this statement yesterday from the Puritan Henry Scougal:

“The worth and excellency of a soul is to be measured by the object of its love.”

So, what is it that we love? Do we love God’s church? His people? God Himself? Do we love things that are good and wholesome? Piper added that the “true dimensions of a soul are seen in its delights. Not what we dutifully will but what we passionately want reveals our excellence or evil.” What do we passionately want?

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Mt. 6:33
